Meet Todd

Todd McCollum is a proven public servant with deep roots in Allegheny County and a lifelong commitment to protecting and serving his community. A former Pittsburgh Police Officer with over 11 years of service, Todd brings firsthand experience in public safety, community relations, and government accountability to his campaign for County Council.

Throughout his law enforcement career, Todd developed specialized expertise in law enforcement instruction, policy analysis, public safety, and crisis response. He holds numerous certifications in hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction response, homeland security, and tactical law enforcement training. Todd also served as an adjunct professor at the International Academy of Design and Technology, where he taught law enforcement courses to the next generation of public safety professionals.

A graduate of Waynesburg College with a degree in Public Service Administration and Criminal Justice, Todd’s career reflects a steadfast dedication to public service.

His commitment to his community goes beyond his time in uniform. A native Pittsburgher who grew up in West Mifflin, Todd understands the real challenges facing our neighborhoods — from rising crime and public safety concerns to burdensome government regulations that stifle small businesses.

He’s the kind of leader who shows up not just to shake hands, but to listen to tough conversations and take action where it matters most. Todd believes Allegheny County deserves leaders who value service over politics. On County Council, he will fight to ensure our neighborhoods are safe, our government is accountable, and working families have a strong voice advocating for them.

Todd McCollum: Protecting Our Communities. Defending Your Rights. Fighting for Commonsense.

“I’m running for County Council because our communities deserve leaders who understand public safety, respect hard work, and listen to the people they serve. With my background in law enforcement and a lifetime of community service, I know what it takes to fight for safer neighborhoods, protect your tax dollars, and stand up for working families — not special interests. I won’t just show up; I’ll show up ready to listen, to lead, and to deliver results for Allegheny County residents.”
